TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic has vehemently denied the recent reports that he refused to work with certain staff from Raja Athletic Club.
Ramovic had agreed to join the Botola Pro Champions with personal terms, with three other members to join his technical team, three weeks ago.
While Galaxy President Tim Sukazi jumped the gun confirming his move to Casablanca, the move reached a deadlock on Wednesday when they proposed new terms.
Reports surfacing in Morocco stated that Ramovic refused to work with highly-rated fitness coach Omar Benounis and sought to bring in one of his own.
But the coach has denied this speculation stating that Benounis holds a very important role in the transition to a new technical team as he knows the squad and is needed for longevity and continuity for the squad.
Ramovic sought advice from former assistant coach Fadlu Davids who offered a glowing endorsement on the Tunisian, which further emphasised his desire for him to stay.
“Raja Casablanca Club deserves the best, they have the best fans. I thank them for the love and support I have received. I requested my two assistants to come with me because I believe they are crucial for our project along with the fitness coach Ben Ounes which I believe will help us win trophies and reach our objectives,” he told iDiski Times.
“But Raja requested me to come alone without my staff and that they will provide a new technical staff which is something I cannot agree to. My staff are crucial for our project with Raja.”
In the last 24 hours, a member of Raja’s board requested that Ramovic is appointed on his own without his technical team and that he should work with a full Moroccan staff.
Added to that, they requested that his agreed monthly salary should be reduced before signing an official contract.
While the financial request was something he was willing to look past, the talks broke down primarily due to the refusal to accept his preferred staff joining him.
