Former Maritzburg United striker Friday Samu could make his return to the top-flight with Cape Town Spurs.
Samu arrived in South Africa back in 2021 after he had a successful spell with Zambian side Green Buffaloes.
The 30-year-old was signed by United during Ernst Middendorp’s time at the club.
He scored five goals during his first season at United. The Zambian international recently terminated his contract with the Team of Choice, who were looking to scale down.
Information received by this publication state that a move to Spurs is on the cards in this January transfer window as he has been spotted training with the club.
Having worked with Middendorp at United also could work in the favour of the Zambian to complete the deal quicker.
The Cape Town-based side is the lowest goalscoring team in the DStv Premiership with 11 goals after 16 matches. They have 14 matches to turn things around.
