Sekhukhune United are closing in on the signing of former Moroka Swallows and Chippa United winger Zaphaniah Mbokoma.

Mbokoma was released by Moroka Swallows in January 2022 after Brandon Truter was sacked.

The 31-year-old joined All Stars where he helped the side to the Premier Soccer League promotional play-offs.

When All Stars relocated to Johannesburg, Mbokoma didn’t go with them instead he was left behind as a free agent.

However, he never got a team and remained unattached for the entire season but iDiski Times can confirm that Mbokoma is edging closer to a surprise return to the PSL.

Truter, a known admirer of his talents, lured him for pre-season to Babina Noko, where he impressed the entire technical team which resulted in talks over a potential contract.
