SSU Yet To Decide On Two Former Sundowns Stars

SuperSport United is yet to make a decision on two former Mamelodi Sundowns, Brian Onyango and Sibusiso Vilakazi.

Onyango recently left Sundowns as a free agent after the club opted against extending his stay, while Vilakazi suffered a similar fate at Sekhukhune United, leaving the club a month after his contract was not renewed.

The duo is said to have been training with Matsatsantsa for over three weeks, though they were not part of the SuperSport squad that travel to Botswana for pre-season. In fact, they remained behind and continued training with other players who are still recovering.

Gavin Hunt’s side has already confirmed the signing of three players in Vincent Pule, Nyiko Mobbie, and Pogiso Sanoka ahead of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season.

They will kick off their season with an MTN8 fixture against Orlando Pirates on August 3, before their Tshwane Derby league clash against city rivals Sundowns on September 14.
