Stellenbosch FC were unsuccessful as they attempted to secure a last-ditch loan move for Mamelodi Sundowns winger Thapelo Maseko before Monday’s deadline day.

However, with Kutlwano Letlhaku and Siyabonga Mabena heading to Chile for the U20 FIFA World Cup, the deal was rejected by Masandawana.
The Cape Winelands-side lost their last four game across all competitions, and only linger in position 13 on the Betway Premiership log.
Steve Barker’s men have only collected four points from seven games this season, with the attack being one of the club’s achilles heels, as Stellies have only scored three goals so far – the joint-least in the league.
