Sundowns Close In On First Signing

Mamelodi Sundowns are closing in on the signing of South African international winger Kobamelo Kodisang ahead of the new season.

The 24-year-old winger looks set to return to the DStv Premiership after nearly six years in Portugal, where he was currently with top-flight side Moreirense.

Kodisang was strongly linked to a return to South Africa last season before remaining with the club that finished sixth in the league.

However, this publication understands that Sundowns have met his asking price and will complete the transfer, subject to a routine medical.

Kodisang has netted 14 goals and registered eight assists in 68 games for Os verdes e brancos and joined the club from SC Braga in a €1-million deal after impressing during his season-long loan in the 2022/23 season.
