Stellenbosch FC have rejected two late offers from Mamelodi Sundowns for midfielder Jayden Adams.
Adams, 22, is one of the youngsters that came through Stellenbosch’s youth structures, having arrived at the club when he was a teenager when the club was still in the second division.

The midfielder was part of the Stellies DStv Diski Challenge squad that won the DDC title and won NextGen in that same season two years ago. He made his debut for Stellies’ senior side in August 2020 against Chippa United and has not looked back.
Since then, he made 109 appearances and scored six goals. Adams’ fine form didn’t go unnoticed and he was a surprise selection in Hugo Broos’ Bafana Bafana squad that finished third at the Africa Cup of Nations, making his debut in the 4-0 win over Namibia.
iDiski Times understands that Sundowns submitted a substantial late bid at the beginning of the week, but it was rejected by the Cape Winelands side.
Two days later Downs submitted an improved bid – their fourth this window – but Stellenbosch rejected again, as they didn’t want to lose another key player this late in the window.
Adams has been named in the club’s squad that will travel to DRC on Friday to face AS Vita Club in the CAF Confederation Cup second leg preliminary round.
