South African tactician Fadlu Davids has turned down the opportunity of taking over as head coach at Tanzanian Premier League champions Young African SC.
A week ago, iDiski Times reported that the Tanzanian giants had tabled an offer to the South African coach, leaving the decision in his court.
According to the latest information reaching this publication, Davids couldn’t reach an agreement with Yanga due to bonuses. Since then, Wananchi have moved on and are exploring other options in the hunt for a new coach.
The Young Africans recently clinched their 26th league title. Winning the NBC Premier League hasn’t been an issue, as they have won it four times in a row, but being competitive in inter-club competitions is their main focus.
After Davids led Simba SC to the CAF Confederation Cup final, Young Africans thought he was the main man who could lead the side to the promised land, but that seems like it won’t happen at this stage.
