Yanga Sweating On Aziz Ki Future

Tanzanian giants, Young Africans SC are sweating to keep Burkina Faso star Stephane Aziz Ki, as his contract is set to expire in June.

Aziz Ki joined Yanga from Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas in July 2022 on a free transfer after winning two league titles with the Ivorian side.

Since arriving at Yanga two years ago, he has been instrumental for the side and guided them to a domestic treble and a runners-up medal in the CAF Confederations Cup after they lost the final to USM Alger.

The left-footer is currently the leading goalscorer in the NBC Premier League with 13 goals, he is followed by Azam FC midfielder Faisal Salum with 12 goals.

Aziz Ki also scored two goals and set up two more in the CAF Champions League, helping Yanga to reach the quarter-finals.

This publication understands that Aziz Ki’s representatives are in talks with Young Africans for a contract extension but nothing is finalised yet, so the player is keeping his options open for any interest outside Tanzania.

At this stage, the 28-year-old would be allowed to sign a pre-contract with any club of his choice as he is left with less than six months on his contract.
