Former AmaZulu, Stellenbosch and Orlando Pirates midfielder Nkanyiso Zungu has resurfaced at Motsepe Foundation Championship side Platinum City Rovers.
Zungu joined Pirates in January 2020 from Stellenbosch having spent two years with the Cape Winelands side. The 28-year-old didn’t have much impact in the black and white of Pirates which resulted in him being loaned out to Richards Bay.
After spending time with Bay on loan, his contract was terminated in April 2023 and his agent Mike Makaab confirmed that he wouldn’t be going back to Pirates as his contract was coming to an end.
Information received by iDiski Times states that Zungu arrived in Rosettenville Wednesday morning and started training with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Platinum City Rovers under the watchful eye of Tlou Segolela.
Rovers are currently sitting 14th on the league table with 19 points after 20 matches. They will face Pretoria Callies in their next encounter.
