Cesane To Follow Seoposenwe To Mexico

Banyana Banyana midfielder Noxolo Cesane’s move from Stade de Reims in France to Tigres UANL in the Liga MX Femenil in Mexico is almost complete, iDiski Times has been reliably informed.

The 22-year-old joined the Division 1 Feminine side a few months after winning the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with Banyana in Morocco last year.

In an interview with iDiski Times after her move last year, Cesane was naturally in high spirits and full of hope of making a difference in France, especially after playing on arrival.

However, she featured in only seven matches with no goals or assists since.

The former University of Western Cape (UWC) player wants more game-time to increase her chances of being selected in the senior national team ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup later this year.

Cesane’s new side are currently second on the Liga MX Femenil log with 12 points from four matches.

The former South African junior international will also be competing against fellow Banyana teammate Jermaine Seoposenwe, who plays for FC Juarez, currently in fifth place after three wins and one loss from four matches.
