Amakhosi haven’t been brilliant domestically, despite losing only one game which was the MTN8 quarter-final against Lamontville Golden Arrows. But in the Betway Premiership they have lost ground on the top three after picking up five draws in their last six matches.
Chiefs will be playing their first CAFCC clash this season after they were one of the 12 top seeds based on CAF 5-year ranking points who had a bye in the first round.
Speaking with the media ahead of this massive clash, Chiefs defender Miguel stated that it doesn’t feel like an away match for them, as they have supporters in the country and he expects Levy Mwanawasa Stadium to be packed with black and gold of Amakhosi.
“I could see yesterday when we went to training, Kaizer Chiefs fans in the streets, so it’s difficult to say that we are playing away from home because we still have fans in Zambia,” he said.
“Most of the countries we go to in Africa, we have fans, so obviously the stadium will be full of our supporters.”
