Pyramids FC head coach Rulani Mokwena is looking to push his charges in their quest to bag their maiden Egyptian Premier League title after a blistering start to the 2026/27 campaign.
Mokwena’s charges finished last season in second place, losing the league title to Zamalek SC on head-to-head rule after they both finished on 43 points. This season, Pyramids have had the greatest start in the league in the club’s history and find themselves top after winning all their opening seven league matches.

The finish line might be far but there’s great hope for Pyramids supporters as Mokwena’s side continues to win convincingly.
After a 4-1 win over El-Gaish, Mokwena spoke with OnSport and explained that they need to finish better than where they finished last season which was second place.
“Pyramids is the big club; there’s a lot of good work that was done before I arrived and of course this is the measurement of the success for the squad, for the club and if there is a group of people that deserve it, is the leadership of the club, is the players that have here in the club for a very long time,” Mokwena told OnSport.
“We will fight for it; we will try to be better than where we were last season and with a lot of humility but humility with a lot of confidence we can achieve great things together.”
