Bafana Bafana attacker Puso Dithejane was the hero for Chicago Fire with the winning goal as they rallied from a goal down to crush Colorado Rapids 4-2 in the Major League Soccer on Sunday morning.

The 22-year-old South African took his tally to five goals with two assists in 31 matches across all competitions this campaign.

It was not the best of starts for Chicago on the road who trailed in the 22nd minute through Morgan Whittaker for the opener.

Gregg Berhalter’s charges however hit back in the 41st and 56th minutes via Jonathan Bamba’s brace.

Rapids equalised to make it 2-2 in the 58th minute with Paxten Aaronson getting on the end of a well-worked goal.

The visitors however refused to come away with just a point.

Robert Lewandowski restored Chicago’s lead in the 74th minute to make it 3-2 for the travellers.

The game was put beyond bed in the 88th minute by Dithejane who collected an assist from Lewandowski in the penalty area to smash it home for the maximum points at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

Chicago secured their playoff spot in the Eastern Conference sitting in fourth place with 55 points ahead of their home league clash against Columbus Crew on Saturday, 7 November.
