Western Cape ABC Motsepe League side Young Bafana have partnered with a Europe-based company that owns clubs in Ligue 1 and other European leagues to create a pathway for South African youngsters to move to Europe.Â
A few months ago, Western Cape ABC Motsepe League Clarewood AFC announced their new partnership with Turkish side Antalyaspor which will benefit the upcoming youngsters for the route in Europe. Clarewood had to change its name to Antalyaspor JMP Clarewood.
Meanwhile, their ABC Motsepe League rivals Young Bafana from Strand announced their partnership with Coresportscapital (CSC), a Swiss-based company.
“Young Bafana has entered into a partnership with Coresportscapital (CSC), a Swiss based company, which owns and manages soccer clubs with a high growth potential with the aim of delivering long-term sporting and economic success,” the club stated on Instagram.
“CSC owns and manages French Ligue 1 club Clermont Foot and co-owns SC Austria Lustenau of Austria and FC Biel-Bienne 1896 based in Switzerland. This partnership will create a pathway to Europe for young South African players.
“The Elite Football Development Program will incorporate the U11 and U12 age groups and will be implemented under the guidance of CSC’s youth coaches.
“This specific training philosophy was responsible for the development of some of Africa’s biggest talents, including the Toure brothers, Gervinho, Salomon Kalou and many others.
“Within the program, players will train 5 times a week and be driven and guided by a professional approach and an adapted philosophy which will be tested and monitored on a weekly basis to ensure that the highest standards are maintained.”
Young Bafana are currently sitting at the top of Western Cape ABC Motsepe League ‘Stream B’ with 31 points and four points clear, they’ve got two games to go.
If they manage to win their stream, they will face the winner of ‘Stream A’ in the final then the winner will go represent Western Cape in the provincial playoffs.
