The draw for the African Football League quarter-finals took place in Cairo on Saturday and has paired Mamelodi Sundowns with Petro de Luanda in the quarter-finals.
The African Football League is the new name for what was previously announced as CAF African Super League, which will run between 20 October and 11 November 2023.
The inaugural version of the tournament will be a knockout competition from quarter-final to semi-final and final, based on home and away fixtures.
Sundowns were drawn against Petro de Luanda in Saturday’s draw, while they will face the winner between Simba SC and Al Ahly in a potential semi-final.
