Bafana Bafana and Morocco have announced their line-ups for this evening’s Last 16 clash at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Hugo Broos’ men face the Atlas Lions, who enter the tie as highest-ranked team in Africa.
Morocco qualified as Group F winners after beating Tanzania 3-0, drawing 1-1 with DR Congo and beating Zambia 1-0.
Meanwhile, Bafana started the tournament with a 2-0 defeat to Mali before a 4-0 thrashing of Namibia. A goalless draw in the final Group E game was enough to secure second place.
Both teams have met each other eight times, with Bafana winning three, Morocco two and another three matches ending in a draw.
They were also in the same qualifying group with Morocco beating Broos’ men at home, while Bafana won the return leg 2-1.
The winners will face Cape Verde in the quarter-final on Saturday. While Bafana have a full-strength squad, Morocco are missing Hakim Ziyech and Sofiane Boufal.
