There has been a major twist in Sead Ramovic’s potential move to Raja Club Athletic after talks reached a deadlock over the last 24 hours.
The TS Galaxy coach was set to replace Josef Zinnbauer at the Moroccan giants after the departure of the former Orlando Pirates coach.
Zinnbauer and his South African technical team consisting of Fadlu Davids, Darian Wilken and Mueez Kajee had won the Botola Pro and Throne Cup unbeaten, leaving big shoes to fill for Ramovic.
The German-born coach was set to travel to Casablanca this week, with talks at an advanced stage but they now seem to have reached a deadlock in negotiations over personal terms and bringing his technical staff.
The news come as a major twist as three weeks ago, the club and the coach had already verbally agreed on the points discussed.
TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi had also already given his blessings for move of his head coach and told SABC Sport that he has already identified an UEFA Pro Licence holder as Ramovic replacement.
But as things stand, Ramovic stays the head coach of The Rockets and is contracted to the club.
It remains to be seen whether Raja will change their stance over Ramovic’s technical team or whether they will now look to settle for another head coach.
