Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Nyasha Mushekwi has been crowned the Golden Boot winner for Chinese League One outfit Yunnan Yukan as they gained promotion to the Chinese Super League for next season.
Mushekwi joined Yukan at the beginning of the current season after his three-year spell with Zhejiang FC came to an end. The 37-year-old finished last season with 18 goals, one goal shy of Shanghai Port striker Wu Lei.

A lot was expected from him when he joined Yukun as they got a promotion from the Chinese third division.
The Zimbabwean international delivered as he scored 25 goals in 30 league matches, he played in and contributed with three assists and thus being rewarded with the Golden Boot award.
Mushekwi’s contract with Yukan is set to expire in December 2025, as he is now expected to help Yukan settle well in the Chinese Super League next season as he has the experience of close to 10 years in that league.
