Pyramids FC and Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting XIs for tonight’s CAF Champions League final second leg.
The Betway Premiership champions suffered a late blow in the first leg when the visitors found a 93rd minute equaliser, which silenced the home crowd at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
However, both teams still have all to play for with Sundowns needing a win or high-scoring draw, while Pyramids would lift the new trophy with a goalless draw or a home victory.
Sundowns are in their third CAF Champions League final, winning the competition in 2016, when they won the home fixture 3-0 but lost 1-0 away to Zamalek.
However, they lost the 2001 final when they had also drawn the home leg 1-1 with Al Ahly before going down 3-1 away from home.
Masandawana are currently in a nine-match unbeaten run across all competitions and beat Pyramids in Cairo in their last head-to-head clash 1-0 during the 2022/23 group stages.
Cardoso opted to make one change from the first leg, with Jayden Adams replacing Arthur Sales, while Themba Zwane starts the game on the bench again.
Here is how they line up:
Pyramids XI: El Shenawy, Samy, Marie, Chibi, Hamdy, Lashin, Toure, El Karty, Atef, Sobhi, Mayele
Subs: Ekramy, Gabr, Tawfik, Hafez, Magdy, Adel, Obama, Hamdy
Sundowns XI: Williams, Mudau, Kekana, Lebusa, Modiba, Mokoena, Allende, Adams, Matthews, Ribeiro, Rayners
