Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has confirmed that Sipho Mbule has replaced the injured Patrick Maswanganyi, while Thabo Moloisane has also been called up.
Hugo Broos announced his final 23-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Nigeria last week Thursday, cutting 25 names.

Among those cut were Mbule and Moloisane, but the duo have now been called up to the squad.
Mbule will replace Maswangayi who picked up an injury in Pirates’ 3-0 win over Chippa United, while Moloisane replaces Ime Okon.
Bafana take on Lesotho on Friday, 4 September, before hosting Nigeria on 9 September, with both games set to take place at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein.
