Kaizer Chiefs have announced the departure of head coach Nasreddine Nabi, as first reported by iDiski Times.
This publication confirmed on 17 September that Amakhosi and Nabi were set to part ways following the recent accident involving his wife in Tunisia which saw him given compassionate leave subsequently missing the first three games of the campaign.
The Tunisian mentor took charge of the club at the beginning of last season and ended Amakhosi’s 10-year trophy draught by lifting the Nedbank Cup.
However, in the league Chiefs ended up outside the top eight. There had been some question marks over Nabi’s future, but the club entered the new campaign with their head coach.
They started 2025/26 with four wins out of their first five games, keeping five clean sheets but that dream start was ended by Sekhukhune United, who beat them 3-1 on Tuesday.
Chiefs have since announced that they have gone their separate ways with Nabi as search for the new man in charge continues while assistants Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef take over proceedings in the interim.
