Kaizer Chiefs Head Coach Gavin Hunt was disappointed after his team drew 1-1 with Baroka in the DStv Premiership on Thursday afternoon, and felt his team was denied a ‘blatant’ penalty.
Lebogang Manyama gave Chiefs the lead, but Evidence Makgopa cancelled out Manyama’s goal with ten minutes to go.
Hunt was disappointed, especially after referee Velaphi Sicelo failed to award a penalty for a foul by Vusi Sibiya on Samir Nurkovic.
“Well the score,1-1, deserved to win the game, I thought we were the better team,” Hunt told Chiefs’ media department after the game.
“But if you get that penalty in the first half, it helps, which we haven’t been getting, two games in a row, three games in a row now, we’ve been getting those situations, and when it’s blatant, so disappointed in that, because that gives you a little bit of momentum.”
“And we should have killed it off. I mean, we had two-three great opportunities, at the end here, but over the 90 minutes I though we were the better side, but football always doesn’t, doesn’t always work like that.”
