Richards Bay Sign New Forward

Betway Premiership side Richards Bay have completed the signing of Nsingizi Hotspurs FC striker Joel Madondo.

The eSwatini giants confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Richards Bay for the signing of Madondo. The 27-year old also already agreed personal terms and signed a two-year contract with the Natal Rich Boys.

He will bring areal and physical presence, with Richards Bay needing goals after only scoring 11 goals in the Betway Premiership after 14 games.

Hotspurs are coached by South African Mandla Qhogi ,who spent most of his time in Orlando Pirates development structures.

Not only Madondo will be leaving Hotspurs, Kwakhe Thwala has also been sold to Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League champions Scottland FC. The 24-year old striker signed a two-year contract with the Zim champions.

Sambulo Simelane also completed a move to a newly promoted Zim PSL side Hard Rock FC after the 24-year old impressed on trial. He is expected to play a major role in their new season.

This leaves Qhogi with a task to find replacements, especially that they are looking to defend their league title but he is a coach that is known of believing heavily in young players.

Qhogi’s side are currently sitting top of the MTN Premier League with 30 points after 15 matches. They won 10 matches, drew one and lost four.
