Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has expressed his delight at his side scoring four goals against African Stars, explaining why he even allowed his players to showboat in the thumping.
The Buccaneers booked their spot in the CAF Champions League group stages after a 5-0 aggregate win over the Namibian side.
After the match, Ouaddou admitted that he enjoyed his side scoring so many goals, saying he even allowed his players to express themselves.
“Of course, the goals,” he told SABC Sport.
“Even at 4-0 I was pushing the guys to score the fifth one, the sixth one. My proudness is we scored four goals and we didn’t concede.
“And the guys, when they score four goals they can enjoy. You can see, I didn’t say nothing – Phopho can climb on the ball, Masilela can make showboating, I don’t have any problem.
“But you need to score four goals.”
Pirates will now enter the CAF Champions league group-stage draw, set to take place in Cairo on Wednesday.
