Orlando Pirates captain Nkosinathi Sibisi says they are not hiding from challenging for the league title saying they wanted everything on offer.
Pirates have been knocked out of the CAF Champions League this season, won two domestic trophies so far, the MTN8 and the Carling Cup and are currently third on the Betway Premiership log with 29 points in 13 matches.

Speaking to the media ahead of Pirates’ league match with Magesi FC, Sibisi said his side has the depth to also go for league honours and the Nedbank Cup as well.
“I think whenever you are representing such a big institution, we don’t have to hide it to say that we are going for everything,” said Sibisi.
“I think in our very first press conference here you guys came and we spoke. We said we wanted everything that was up to offer. Unfortunately, we came short in the Champions League but the other tournaments, we’ve managed to secure. So, there’s still two more to play for not only the championship, there’s still the Nedbank Cup as well. So, for us, it’s just to give our all and see where it goes.
“I think this season we have depth it’s there for everyone to see. Whether I’m there, whether I’m not there, there’s someone to take over and do the job. So, I think that’s our main strength in the season and I think it has shown by the number of goal contributions coming from everywhere. It comes from defenders, from wingers, from our strikers.
“So, I think that’s an important factor if you want to challenge for the league because I think when goals are coming from everywhere and we’re able to keep clean sheets then we have to say we have a chance.”
With Pirates having finished second in the last two seasons, Sibisi added that this season is a fresh start for everyone.
“Look, I don’t want to say we have seen this movie before,” added the defender.
“I haven’t. I really haven’t seen this movie before. You know, it’s a fresh start. It’s a fresh year, you know, we we’re going for everything that’s left, and we don’t have to hide it, let’s see if the movie is the same.”
