Durban City chairman Farook Kadodia has provided the latest update regarding the club’s next coach following the departure of Sinethemba Badela.
The 36-year-old coach left the club abruptly after taking charge of just three matches, during which he recorded two wins and one defeat.
City had initially made a coaching change before the start of the season, parting ways with Simo Dladla, who successfully guided the team to promotion to the top flight.
Despite achieving that milestone, the club opted for a new direction and appointed experienced coach Gavin Hunt.

Hunt enjoyed a strong start to the campaign; however, he was dismissed in December as the club once again decided to make a change. Badela was then brought in, but his tenure proved to be short-lived.
Following Badela’s departure, Kadodia confirmed to iDiski Times that Pitso Dladla will take charge of the team on an interim basis.
He will be assisted by Ashraf Hendricks and Rowan Fernandez as the club works towards finding a replacement.
“Yeah, for now Pitso Dladla is in charge, supported by Ashraf Hendricks and Rowan Fernandez,” Kadodia told iDiski Times.
When asked whether they would remain in charge until the end of the season, Kadodia stated that Dladla would continue leading the team if the club does not find ‘the right coach’.
“They are in charge until further notice, if we don’t find the right coach, they will carry on as acting or interim.”
