Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande has been appointed as the new head coach of the Zimbabwe Eastern Region Soccer League side Grand Legacy.
A few months ago, Katsande was confirmed as the new head coach of Chinhoyi-based side Rangers FC. In his short stint at Rangers, they won one, drew four, and lost two games.
Katsande’s departure came as a shock, as many thought he was still getting acclimatized to the league and the players.Â
Grand Legacy were in action on Saturday where they suffered a 2-0 defeat against Bikita Minerals FC in the Munhumutapa Challenge Cup match played at the Lithium Stadium in Bikita.
The 40-year-old, however, was not on the bench but on the stands during this match, but he is expected to be fully present in their next encounter.Â
