Former Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze is in advanced talks with Sekhukhune United to become their next head coach to be the official successor of Eric Tinkler.
Kaze and Chiefs ended their relationship upon the expiry of his contract with Khalil Ben Youssef, Majdi Safi, and Ilyes Mzoughi following suit.
While Mzoughi has since joined the Burkina Faso national team, Kaze is now likely to remain in South Africa, with Sekhukhune making an official approach to the Burundian.
Babina Noko were strongly linked with a move with AmaZulu head coach Arthur Zwane, but now looks likely to remain with Usuthu – where he led them to a fourth place finish.
Sources have confirmed that the deal is nearly over the line – with minor details to be ironed out in the coming days.
Kaze took charge of 13 games after the departure of Nasreddine Nabi, winning four games, three draws, with six defeats in all competitions.
