Chippa United have continued their rebuild under new head coach Brandon Truter with the signing of Muzomuhle Khanyi from Stellenbosch on a season-long loan deal.
The 27-year-old joined Stellenbosch last season after winning the Motsepe Foundation Championship Golden Boot with Hungry Lions – where he netted 18 goals.
However, he never quite settled in the Cape Winelands, with only four league starts all campaign in his 19 overall appearances across all competitions, where he netted one goal with one assist.
While the former South Africa youth international is still held in high regard at the club, a promise of regular minutes could not be guaranteed with the potential arrival of Sinoxolo Kwayiba and Bradley Grobler next season.
Chippa have since swooped in to secure Khanyi, having lost Kwayiba in the opposite direction and released veteran forward Bienvenu Eva Nga.
