The following day, 2 June, this publication was informed by a reliable source that Blom went through his medicals with the Cape Winelands side, as they were aiming to finalise the deal before the start of the pre-season.
However, personal terms became an issue between Blom’s camp and Stellenbosch as they couldn’t agree.
Talks between the two sides continued but so far they were not able to agree on terms, which means that Blom is still a free agent and allowed to sign with a team of his choice.
So far Stellenbosch have announced the signing of Thabiso Lebitso from Orlando Pirates and Sinoxolo Kwayiba from Chippa United.
