Chippa United have reached a deal with Orlando Pirates for midfielder Goodman Mosele, hijacking his move to Durban City at the last minute.
Mosele joined Pirates in July 2021 from Baroka FC for an undisclosed transfer fee. The 26-year-old has spent most of his time at Pirates being loaned out to the Eastern Cape outfit.
The midfielder made 53 appearances in the black and white of Pirates and 55 in the Chilli Boys’ colors.
iDiski Times has established that Mosele joined Chippa Tuesday night in their camp in Gauteng after the Chilli Boys secured his signature for an undisclosed transfer fee.
The former Baroka was on the verge of joining Durban City on a season-long loan, but Chippa hijacked the deal at the last minute and convinced the midfielder to make a move to Gqeberha.
Mosele is expected to be part of the Chilli Boys’ squad that will participate in the upcoming pre-season tournament in Mthatha, Eastern Cape.
Brandon Truter’s side aim to do better than last season when they just finished above the relegation playoff spot..
The Eastern Cape-based side haven’t been very active in announcing new signings so far, as they’ve only officially announced the return of Nigerian international Stanley Nwabali to the team.
