Newly-promoted Motsepe Foundation Championship side Hope FC are assessing former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Keagan Dolly.

Dolly, 33, a product of the Transnet School of Excellence, was released by Cape Town City at the end of last season.

Before he joined Sundowns academy in 2005, he spent six years in Ajax Cape Town’s youth structures. In July 2012, Dolly was promoted to the senior side of the Urban Warriors, where he went on to make 59 appearances before being snapped up by Sundowns.

The 33-year-old was part of the history makers at Sundowns who won the club’s first CAF Champions League in 2016, becoming the second South African club to win the prestigious tournament. Dolly then completed a dream move to French Ligue 1 side Montpellier HSC.

This publication has established that the winger is currently going through an assessment at Hope FC with aspirations of getting a contract.

According to iDiski Times sources the veteran midfielder began his assessment at The Immortals, who are run by Keagan Buchanan as CEO, on Monday.

Currently Clayton Daniels and Zama Diyelela are the ones preparing the team for the upcoming season as nothing official has communicated by since the departure of Dylan Dean.
