New Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Siyanda Ndlovu has revealed that winning trophies were some of the reasons behind his much-publicized move to Chloorkop.
Ndlovu, 22, completed his transfer to the two-time African champions in this transfer window following an impressive season with Golden Arrows.
A protégé of the Arrows development ranks, Ndlovu scored four goals and provided six assists for Abafana Bes’thende in 25 appearances last season.
Speaking on The Pitchside Podcast with DJ Naves, ‘Skhwishi’ expressed his excitement about competing for trophies at Chloorkop while also promising Sundowns fans he will give his all.
“Mamelodi Sundowns competes for a lot of trophies,” said Ndlovu.
“It’s very competitive side even in the league. So even I as a player have had a wish that if I get to Sundowns I’ll compete for these cups and grow in my game.
“My message to the fans is that I’ll do my best to fight for the team, to fight for the badge. I want to contribute to strengthening this team, to work hard so I just don’t add numbers. I have to work hard and add value like other guys.”
