Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz has revealed whether Amakhosi are done with their transfer business, with the window set to close in the coming weeks.

The Soweto giants have made a few additions to their squad, welcoming Thabo Moloisane, Renaldo Leaner, Langelihle Phili, Adolf Mtasingwa and Faiz Abrahams on loan, while also making Khanyisa Mayo’s move permanent.

Chiefs also parted ways with several players, with others sent out on loan as Da Cruz continues to shape his squad.

After seeing his team in the Betway Premiership and MTN8, the French coach says he is satisfied with the players at his disposal and believes the club is moving in the right direction.

However, Da Cruz has left the door open for more signings, insisting Chiefs would only make moves if they find players capable of genuinely strengthening the squad rather than simply adding numbers.

“No, I am happy with the squad that I have,” said Da Cruz after their 1-1 draw against Polokwane City on Saturday.

“If a player is going to arrive, I think I would take the opportunity, but I don’t want to take a player to take him. If it is to take someone, it is someone that will be useful.

“For the moment, I am very happy with the squad that we have. We are moving forward; we are disappointed with the result.

“But we are on the right path in terms of the quality of the game, in terms of the modelling of the game, in terms of what we want to show. We must continue, we must not give up.”
