Stellenbosch Football Club have confirmed the permanent transfer of Thapelo Mokobodi to Orlando Pirates.
Mokobodi, 23, completed the permanent switch on a three-year deal with the Buccaneers announcing his capture on Wednesday morning.

The former Marumo Gallants man joined Stellies in August 2025 going on to rack up 28 appearances across all competitions during his only season with the club.
Ironically, he was part of the Stellies squad that reached the 2025 MTN8 final where they were hammered 3-0 by Pirates.
“Stellenbosch Football Club can confirm that Thapelo Mokobodi has completed a permanent transfer to Orlando Pirates,” the club stated.
“Mokobodi joined Stellenbosch FC in August 2025 and made 28 appearances across all competitions during his solitary season with the Club.
“Capable of playing across multiple positions, the 23-year-old proved himself to be a versatile member of the squad and used those qualities to help the Maroons reach the 2025 MTN8 final.
“We thank Thapelo for his service to the Club and wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career.”
