Banyana Banyana are aiming to bounce back to winning ways when they take on Cote d’Ivoire in a must-win Group B 2026 WAFCON clash at the Moulay Rachid Stadium in Casablanca this evening.
South Africa suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Tanzania in their opening clash of the tournament earlier this week and have it all do to determine the fate.

The West Africans on the other hand are beaming with confidence after they hammered Burkina Faso 4-1 in their first match of the prestigious continental women’s football showpiece with a win over Banyana securing their spot in the next round with a game to spare.
In the tie against Tanzania, Banyana were so blunt upfront missing chances which they were left to rue as their opponents scored two goals either side of the half, with defender Bambanani Mbane registering Mzansi’s goal.
