Despite their opening Betway Premiership win, Orlando Pirates captain Nkosinathi Sibisi admits it was a result they had to grind out after returning from pre-season.
The defending league champions saw off rookies Milford FC 2-0 at Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday afternoon to occupy second place on the log standings behind leaders and arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs.

Oswin Appollis’ deflected free-kick in the 23rd minute gave the Buccaneers the opener before Tshepang Moremi calmly slotted home the winner in the 85th minute.
‘Bhodlela’ believes that it wasn’t the best performance they put in on the day though he admitted that it’s still early days in the season as the players are still adjusting.
“Really important one. I think we had to grind this one out,” he told OP TV.
“Wasn’t the best of performances but I think we’re coming from pre-season. Legs are still heavy; the boys are still trying to find the rhythm.
“But it’s important to get the victory and pull on it.”
