Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed their starting line-up for the massive Betway Premiership encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns at the FNB Stadium this afternoon.
Chiefs have started the league campaign brightly, winning both games against Kruger United and Sekhukhune United. But they saw themselves eliminated from the MTN8 after suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Lamontville Golden Arrows.
This game comes at the right time for Amakhosi after netting six goals in the league in the two games they played. They are currently sitting at the top of the Betway Premiership with six points.
A win for Fernando Da Cruz’s side would see them with their first league game against Sundowns since April 2021 when they won 2-1 through Ashley du Preez and an own goal from Mosa Lebusa.
Amakhosi can draw inspiration from their 2-1 Nedbank Cup semi-final in April 2025 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
In the last 20 meetings between the two sides, there have been only two goalless draws.
