Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting line-up to face Kaizer Chiefs in the Betway Premiership at FNB Stadium this afternoon.
The mission of dethroning Orlando Pirates continues for Masandawana, as they face their one of their biggest rivals Chiefs in a packed FNB Stadium.
Sundowns played only two games this season so far, winning both – a 3-2 against TS Galaxy in the league and 3-2 in extra-time against Polokwane City in the MTN8 quarter-final.
Despite scoring six goals an area of concern will be the defence for Sundowns as they allowed four goals against them, something they are not familiar with.
After finishing second last season, not winning the league title for the first time in nine years they look to bounce back and win this one.
Downs has really enjoyed this league fixture, having won it six times in the last 10 meetings while four games ended in draws. Throughout this run they scored 17 goals in and conceded five.
A win for Miguel Cardoso’s side would see them go top of the league table.
