iDiski TV analyst Junior Khanye has earmarked Orlando Pirates defender Lebone Seema as a future Bafana Bafana international and captain.
His comments come on the back of Pirates’ 3-0 victory over Chippa United in the Betway Premiership in Durban over the weekend. Seema scored the side’s second goal which helped the defending champions move to the top of the log with seven points.
It was his second goal contribution for the Buccaneers this season, following the assist he provided in the 2-0 win over Milford FC in the league opener earlier this month.
This is the 23-year-old’s second campaign with the Pirates first team and last season he scored two goals in the league.
Meanwhile, the former Kaizer Chiefs winger says he sees a future leader in the defender and would like to see him in the senior national team fold.
“Goal number two from a set-piece well done to Orlando Pirates a good player scored that one,” said Junior on iDiski TV.
“I can say a future Bafana Bafana player even captain. I’d love to see that boy paired with [Mbekezeli] Mbokazi at centre-back with [Khuliso] Mudau and [Aubrey] Modiba on the left-hand side.
“I’d love to see that and maybe give [Sipho] Chaine a chance in goals at Bafana with Tebza [Teboho Mokoena] playing in front of them just once. I’m sure there is something there.
“And I’m sure Pitso [Mosimane] is listening and will do that.”
