Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Jody February has been spotted at Siwelele, with a season-long loan deal set to be finalised.
The 30-year-old was subject of interest from Sekhukhune United in recent weeks, who went on to sign Melusi Buthelezi after his release from Orlando Pirates.
With the return of Ricardo Goss after his time at Siwelele and SuperSport United over the past three seasons, February informed the club of his desire for a move to secure more regular first team minutes.
iDiski Times were informed the player was training at the club this week and when contacted his agent Mike Makaab of ProSport, he confirmed the player is close to finalising a move to the Bloemfontein-based side.
“He’s training at Siwelele, talks are at an advanced stage, Sundowns have agreed to the loan, we just need to finalise it, hopefully this week,” Makaab confirmed to iDiski Times.
Since joining the club in 2019, February has featured eight times for the club and spent time on loan at Cape Umoya United, Moroka Swallows and AmaZulu.
