Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies stormed into the 2026 COSAFA CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers with a dominant 3-0 win over Silver Strikers at Gaborone United Stadium on Sunday night.

Nonhanhla Mthandi made an attempt from far, but it was denied by Irene Sidande in the Strikers goal just six minutes into the tie.

It was Banyana Ba Style who grabbed the opener through Karabo Dhlamini four minutes later to make it 1-0.

Dhlamini then grabbed her brace of the evening in the 18th minute with a thunderous free-kick from 30 yards out as Sundowns took a healthy 2-0 lead into the break.

Sundowns hit the back of the net again in the 50th minute this time through Isabella’s Ludwig’s thunderous header into the far corner for her second strike of the competition.

Nthabiseng Majiya should’ve made it four in the 58th minute but her effort from close range was well saved by the Strikers keeper.

In the 61st minute, Andile Dlamini was finally called into action pulling off a full-stretched one hand save to keep the Malawian side out.

Nonhlanhla Mthandi was then denied in the 65th minute with the Strikers keeper rushing off her line to make a last-ditch save.

Sibande was again in the thick of action as she thwarted Boitumelo Rabale’s ferocious shot from the outside of the box in the 75th minute.

Godfrey Sapula’s charges have now scored 11 goals in two matches without conceding and take on Costa Do Sol in their final Group B clash, with the latter losing 3-1 to Nsingizini Hotspurs earlier today.
