Former Cape Town City assistant coach Diogo Peral has joined Eric Tinkler at Asante Kotoko in Ghana.
Peral had been with Cape Town City for most of his coaching career where he served as reserve side head coach (DDC) before becoming an assistant coach to the likes of Jan Olde Riekerink, Tinkler, and Muhsin Ertugral.
The 50-year-old had short stints as CTC caretaker coach when Riekerink was on administrative leave back in May 2021.
In March 2025, Peral was confirmed as CTC first team coach until the end of the season, and he was assisted by Lebogang Manyama and Roger De Sa.
The latest information received is that, Peral has joined Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko as a technical advisor where he will work alongside Tinkler whom he is familiar with.
Kotoko hope to bring back the glory days with the two South Africans working together under former Ajax Cape Town coach Stanley Menzo as Technical Director.
