Milford FC head coach Dr Xanti Pupuma has drawn lessons from their Betway Premiership loss to Orlando Pirates heading into the league clash against Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Stallions lost 2-0 to the defending champions in their very first match in top-flight which was also the season opener at the Orlando Amstel Arena at the beginning of this month.

The coach and many people felt Milford held their own in that encounter where they had kept Pirates from scoring their second goal until injury time with the first goal having come in the 24th minute.
The KZN-based outfit hasn’t lost since that game and currently occupy fifth place on the log with seven points in four matches.
They face an unbeaten Sundowns in Pretoria on Wednesday with Pupuma outlining the positives from the match against the Buccaneers.
“I think the biggest lesson is that we felt that we’re not far off,” said Pupuma.
“We’re not that far off from their level. We really did show up against Orlando Pirates. So, if we can have the same attitude, I know we have the quality if we can have the same attitude against Sundowns, we will give them problems.
“After all, you know we also have been playing soccer for a long time, and we know each other. So as long as we believe in ourselves and what we do, we’ll be okay.”
