Orlando Pirates attacker Edmilson Chaney is yet to feature for newly promoted Motsepe Foundation Championship side Hope FC after his loan move there from the Betway Premiership champions.

Chaney made his name in the colours of Hope FC last season in the ABC Motsepe League and lit up the ABC Motsepe League promotional playoffs earlier this year in the Eastern Cape.

Several Betway Premiership and MFC teams then showed interest in the 19-year-old.

Of all the teams that showed interest, Pirates came out on top, securing the signature of Chaney with an agreement to loan him back to Hope FC for the season.

There however seems to be an issue as Chaney missed the first two games of The Immortals and could be heading back to Pirates if the MCF side fails to register him.

The former Cape Town Spurs man is tipped to be the next superstar, as he showed what he is capable of in the ABC Motsepe League.

It was felt that MFC would develop his football as it has been proven before that it is a good league for youngsters.

But it remains to be seen what Hope will do as the ball is in their court.
