New Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane has named his first 35-man provisional squad for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this month.
Mosimane was unveiled as new Bafana head coach during a press briefing at SAFA house earlier on Tuesday, replacing Belgian tactician Hugo Broos.
The former Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns coach will start his second reign as Bafana coach with a clash against Guinea on 23 September.
Four days later, Bafana will face Eritrea away from home, with co-hosts Kenya the other team in Bafana’s qualification group. But with Benni McCarthy’s side already qualified, Mosimane and his men will need to top Group D or finish second behind Kenya in order to book their spot at next year’s tournament.
Mosimane has now announced the first Bafana squad of his second stint in charge of the national team.
