Betway Premiership side Richards Bay have confirmed Dimitar Pantev as their new coach as first reported by iDiski Times last week.
According to a statement released by the club on Monday, Pantev signed a year-long contract with an option to renew. He replaces Ronnie Gabriel who resigned last Thursday after results weren’t coming.
The Natal Rich Boys are yet to register a win in the league this season as they are currently sitting third from bottom with three points, same as 15th placed Marumo Gallants in seven outings.
The KZN-based side also have the weakest defence in the league so far, having conceded the most by any side, 16.
Meanwhile, the 50-year-old Pantev who was linked with the same post at Marumo Gallants which has now been filled by Ronnie Kananelo, brings a wealth of experience having worked with Tanzanian giants Simba SC and in the Southern region in Botswana with Jwaneng Galaxy and Gaborone United.
