Venda Football Club have unveiled Kaitano Tembo as new head coach to succeed Clinton Larsen after their poor start in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Larsen was in charge of Venda since the beginning of last season, finishing in ninth place.
However, this campaign they started with just one draw and four defeats, leading the club to dismiss the former Bloemfontein Celtic and Golden Arrows coach.
On Wednesday, VFC unveiled Tembo as their new head coach, starting a “new era at Tshirululuni”.
“CEO Dr Rendani Mulaudzi officially welcomed our new Head Coach, Kaitano Tembo, to the clubhouse this morning,” the club stated.
“The hard work starts now as Coach Tembo takes the reins and prepares the squad for the battles ahead. A massive welcome.”
Tembo last worked as assistant coach and later caretaker coach at the Zimbabwe, and before that as Head of Football at Sekhukhune United.
Venda will face 12th-placed Midland Wanderers when the league returns after the international break, before facing league leaders Magesi.
