South Africa U17s have been drawn in Group …. for the 2025 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
With the draw taking place in Cairo, Egypt, this afternoon, South Africa were among the late inclusions after the tournament was increased from 12 to 16 teams.
The teams were divided into four Groups (A, B, C and D) – with South Africa, Angola and Zambia the Cosafa representatives for his edition.
A record 10 African nations from the tournament will qualify for the 48-team 2025 FIFA Under-17 World Cup that will be staged in Qatar from 5-27 November, 2025.
U17 AFCON Groups In Full:
Group A: Morocco, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia
Group B: Burkina Faso, UNIFAC1*, South Africa, Egypt
Group C: Senegal, Gambia, Somalia, Tunisia
Group D: Mali, Angola, Cote d’Ivoire, UNIFAC2*
*To be determined with qualification tournament still to be played.
The tournament will take place between 30 March and 19 April in the North African state.
